Klondike Bluffs was our first boondocking experience in the camper. We had reservations about boondocking, but this location washed all our fears about boondocking away. We were far enough removed from the highway for it to be peaceful, but still felt like we were part of civilization. We could see the lights of vehicles whipping back and forth, like little ants, in the distance. Each morning we watched a hot air balloon launch while we had our coffee and each night we watched the sunset by the fire. Once the sun goes down you will marvel at the sheer number of stars in the sky. We stayed for eight days and only had a couple of neighbors come through, all of which were wonderful people. Klondike Bluffs will always hold a special place in our camping memories as our first true off grid experience. It also served as a great spot to explore Moab, Arches National Park, Dead Horse Point State Park and the Castle Valley area.
